THE BRIEF: 1001 Inventions, an educational organization showcasing the Golden Age of Muslim civilization's contributions to modern science and technology through engaging exhibits, engaged Blink Studios to bring to life remarkable historical scientific pioneers.

THE TREATMENT: Blink Studios teamed up with 1001 Inventions to create a visually rich short film exploring the life and legacy of 10th-century polymath Ibn Al Haytham. Using a unique blend of 3D animation with 2D shading and artistically hand-drawn characters, the film brings Ibn Al Haytham’s groundbreaking discoveries in optics to life. Mixed-media scenes add texture and depth, while the late Omar Sharif’s final performance lends gravitas to this compelling story of light, vision, and discovery.
